Kathy Saunders began her business as a penman and calligrapher over 30 years ago. Working from her studio in Upstate NY, she has created commissioned works of art that are displayed around the world. She has done contract work for The White House and has had her envelopes displayed at The Smithsonian Institution.

In addition to calligraphy, Kathy is a painter and an engraver.  ALL works displayed on this website are completely created by hand.

Her painting enhances her calligraphy creations, like invitations, envelopes, heirloom wedding and marriage certificates, or wedding guest scrolls.  She also specializes in beautiful hand painted wedding aisle runners.

Kathy does custom hand engraving for on-site events at  wineries, liquor stores, or fundraisers, and for fragrance events at stores like Lord and Taylor and Macy's.  She has also done on-site hand engraving of custom ornaments at Hallmark stores.

Kathy has served in many capacities (including President)  on the Board of Directors of The Greater Rochester Penmanship & Calligraphy Club, and was the Treasurer of The International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers and Teachers of Handwriting (IAMPETH) for 27 years. She now serves on the IAMPETH Executive Board as the Corresponding Secretary. In 1997, the annual IAMPETH convention was dedicated to Kathy, and in 2001 she was inducted into the IAMPETH Book of Honor.
